Tapu Fini (Japanese: カプ・レヒレ Kapu-Rehire) is the guardian of Poni Island, and the fourth and final deity to appear in the anime.

History[]
500 years ago, the Alola Region had Panthagle and Angistus watching over everybody in the region alongside their mother, Spherialla, with Panthagle keeping an eye out for trouble from the skies and Angistus joining his mother in safeguarding the region and protecting it from invaders and troublemakers from the ground as Mizuara decided to go first.
Angietus was shown tending to the ground and plants below his hooves, showing that he was a large deer-like Pokemon that stood at Xerneas' height and size but had long brown fur and gray fur on his legs, black hooves, and black smoky antlers, his chest also sporting black and red fur while having a small tail in the same color pattern.
Above him, there was a giant avian Pokemon that was similar in size and height to Zapdos, having a yellow beak and talons along with a teal underbelly, and his wings having teal feathers coupled with gray and dark blue-green feathers. This Pokemon was Panthagle, smiling happily down at the peace and tranquility of the kingdom of old.
However, what none of them, the last Alolan Royal Family, Spherialla, and the rest of Alola had no idea about was that their time with them as the original Island Guardians was about to come to a tragic and violent end at the hands of Lothor. In a small clearing sometime later, both Angietus and Panthagle were seen struggling with themselves as they started grunting and roaring in pain.
They suddenly started thrashing about and smashing stuff without warning, their powers growing beyond their control as horrific storms ravaged the kingdom just as Tsukumaro, Absol, and Xatu (back when he was only a Natu) came to see what the problem was. The trio soon heard the sound of cackling and they turned, all of them horrified to see Lothor (the banished and disgraced Crown Prince, Donald Tomoe) as he cackled loudly at the original Island Guardians with Darkrai by his side, looking gleefully at the sight before them but keeping himself under control as he remained calm and composed before the pair apparated out of sight.
In the midst of their battle, Panthagle created massive storms with lightning blasts that struck the kingdom and Angietus ran through it, causing massive wildfires and forcing the wild Pokemon to flee in fear for their lives with their homes lost.
Lothor's power had made both of her sons too far gone as they nearly blasted their mother, the shockwave from the attacks she just managed to dodge sending her to the ground and getting Tsukumaro and his Pokemon's attention as they rushed to her aid.
Fearing for Alola's safety and that of the world, she transformed from her Cherub Form into her true Seraph Form as the Sacred Rainbow Serpent Pokemon, sacrificing three more of her spheres to create three Elemental Warriors capable of absorbing the energy of nature and subdue them long enough for her to make the ultimate sacrifice.....sealing them away inside a hidden temple in Hanahuna long before Mount Pulanana was created.
Once the deed was done and the original corrupted Island Guardians were sealed away for who knows how long, Spherialla and her remaining children looked around at the carnage left behind by the pair in their wake. The silence that followed was astoundingly horrific; many innocent lives were lost, much of the kingdom was ravaged, and Spheriallia and Tsukumaro were too late to prevent the destruction that occurred, all done by Lothor with his kickoff to destroying all of Alola and his family to get revenge on them for forever ruining him and his life.
Ashamed of what was done to Alola, the Sacred Rainbow Serpent Pokemon used the last of her power through four Creation Spheres to create the successors of her sons: Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini, assigning each of them to an island to safeguard the entire region in their stead and leaving herself and her family with only one sphere left for themselves.
Trials of Sarah: Alola Arc[]
Tapu Fini debuted in A Dream Encounter!, where it reacted to Nebby's creation. In Family Determination!, it appeared at Poni Island together with the other guardian deities.
In Revealing the Stuff of Legend!, Tapu Fini and the other guardian deities revealed that they were the ones who took Nebby to Melemele Island, where Ash would eventually find and take care of it. At the Altar of the Sunne, the four guardian deities performed a ritual to allow Nebby, now a Cosmoem, to evolve into Solgaleo. When Ash received a Solganium Z from Nebby, he found that it was unable to fit in his regular Z-Ring. Tapu Koko then took the Z-Ring, and through a dance, it and the other guardian deities upgraded the Z-Ring into a Z-Power Ring so Sarah could properly use Solgaleo's Z-Move, Searing Sunraze Smash. The four then dispersed after seeing Nebby carry Ash and friends through the Ultra Wormhole.
In Securing the Future!, Tapu Fini, its fellow guardian deities, and the rest of Alola helped Necrozma regain its true form by giving it some of their Z-Power.
Tapu Fini made its first solo appearance in Showdown on Poni Island!, where it flew over Sarah, Race, Ash, Lillie, Gladion, and Hapu following Sarah's battle against Gladion.
In Run, Heroes, Run!, it became angered when Kiawe and Ash were battling at the Ruins of Hope and trapped Ash, Rotom, Pikachu, Torracat, Turtonator, Pyroar and Sarah's family in a veil of water as punishment for their recklessness. In order for them to atone for their sinful actions, Tapu Fini gave Sarah a task to retrieve scales from Tapu Lele within a certain time and had only Eterantus go with her. When Sarah returned with the scales, Tapu Fini used them to heal Eternatus, who had been injured during the journey back. Afterwards, Tapu Fini forgave Ash and Kiawe for their reckless battling and it was revealed that it was part of a test to see how Eternatus had bonded with her after being put into her care after seeing them perform Devastating Drake together in Rose in Alola. But in return, it rewarded Sarah with a Poisionium Z and Flyinium Z and watched as she and Eternatus performed Supersonic Skystrike.
When Sarah asked Tapu Fini, if her parents, Delilah and Doug were still alive, Tapu Fini replied that she would find the answer in time.
In Memories in the Mist!, Tapu Fini overheard Mallow talking about her deceased mother. Later, it filled the area around Hapu's house with mist. The mist allowed Mallow and Torracat to reunite with her mother and its deceased mentor, Stoutland, respectively. Worried that her friends would be trapped in the mist forever, Hapu traveled to the Ruins of Hope to convince Tapu Fini to stop. The spirit of Sofu, Hapu's deceased grandfather, appeared, revealing that Tapu Fini had accepted Hapu as the next island kahuna of Poni Island. Tapu Fini then revealed to Hapu that the Ultra Beast War wasn't the end of Sarah's birth parents' story which meant they were still alive.
In A Grand Debut!, Hapu performed a ritual at the Ruins of Hope with Tapu Fini, properly receiving the title of island kahuna. Later, Tapu Fini watched Ash and Hapu's grand trial battle.
In Journey of the Royal Family Epilogue, Tapu Fini and the Guardians appeared at the Alter of the Sunne where they watched Sarah open the secret shrine underneath where her parents were resting as stone statues before they were brought back to life and reunited with their daughter.
In Z-Move Showdown!, Tapu Fini and its fellow deities assisted the island kahunas in dealing with a Guzzlord that was causing trouble during the closing ceremony of the Manalo Conference. They did so by restraining it whilst the kahunas used their Z-Moves to send it back through its Ultra Wormhole. Tapu Fini then left in Exhibition Unmasked! before returning to restore Z-Power to Sarah and Kukui's Z-Rings in From Z to Shining Z!.
Trials of Sarah: Pokemon Horizons[]
In Interlude: Part 2: Eclipse Reminsincent, Tapu Fini and the other Island Guardians appeared, reuniting with Sarah and wishing her luck in her journey ahead.
Personality[]
While little is known about Tapu Fini's personality, it appears to be a caring Pokémon, as it was shown holding a sleeping Nebby before leaving it for Ash to find.
More of Tapu Fini's personality was seen in Run, Heroes, Run!, when it became angered by Kiawe and Ash battling at the Ruins of Hope and trapped Ash, Pikachu, Rotom, Torracat, Turtonator, Pyroar and Sarah's family in a veil of water as punishment. However, after seeing how desperate Sarah was to atone for their recklessness or take the fall for their punishment, it then set Kiawe a task that she must complete in a certain time. Also, it only allowed Eternatus to help her as a way to test their bond after seeing them both perform Devastating Drake together. Despite that, Tapu Fini is also shown to be a forgiving Pokémon as it awarded Sarah with the Poisonium Z and Flyinium Z upon her success and blessed Ash's later victory in the grand trial.
